Samara Beach is located at the Pacific Coast, in Playa Samara at the Nicoya Gulf and at only 30 Kilometers from the historical Nicoya City in the Guanacaste province. There are few beaches near by no far than 109km from Liberia Airport, 30Km away like Nosara Beach and Guiones Beach. Both are mostly full of north American and European communities. The zone is also famous because of the surf facilities and the waves. Playa Barrigona is also near as well as Carrillo with a local airport, the closest to Samara.
